The golden rule
- "Bookings outside SivarGO have no payment protection or support if something goes wrong."
- "Pay only on SivarGO — your card, dispute rights and cancellation policy stay protected."
- We will never ask for your card details by chat, email or phone.
Signs of a scam
- They ask for a bank transfer, deposit or cash "to hold the dates", or to pay directly "without the fee".
- They insist on moving to WhatsApp or another app before booking. The SivarGO chat blocks phone numbers, emails, links and payment apps for exactly that reason ("Message not sent").
- They send you a link that is not on sivargo.com to "confirm" or "pay". Our only links are api.sivargo.com and the Wompi payment page opened from the app.
- A price far below the market, pressure to confirm right now, or requests for personal data unrelated to the booking.
- A "host" who says the app "isn't working" and asks you to book outside it.
What to do in the moment
- Don't pay, don't open the link and don't share data. Close the conversation.
- Take screenshots of the messages: they serve as evidence.
- If you already paid inside the app, your money is protected: check the status under Trips and, if there is a problem with the booking, use "Report a problem".
- If you paid outside the app, SivarGO cannot recover that money, but it can sanction the account: report it anyway and contact your bank.
How to report
- From the chat: tap the info icon at the top → "Report conversation" → "Scam or fraud". It is confidential.
- From the listing: at the bottom of the page tap "Report this listing" → "Possible scam" and describe what happened (for example "the host asked me to pay outside"). The report is anonymous.
- From the Help Center: tap "Report a user or an emergency" → "Suspected fraud or scam", describe the case and a support chat opens. "Reviewed in under 4 hours."
- You can also block the person from their public profile ("Block"): neither of you can message or send requests to the other.
If someone impersonated you
If you are in physical danger, call 911 first. Then report it on SivarGO as "Safety problem or emergency".
